Stamo Maskin AB
Impeller Agitators
Stamo Maskin AB of Sweden is renowned in Europe for its high technological level, and the unique skills it brings to the manufacturing of tank agitation equipment. Its impellers use specially shaped agitator blades to create the ideal circulation of tank contents, providing more efficient and uniform agitation than existing units. This new type of agitator is ideal for use with high-density, high viscosity materials, as well as in industries requiring explosion-proof specifications. Applications include digesters for the efficient production of biogas using the decomposition and methane fermentation of organic sludge in sewage treatment plants and other facilities, and in chemical and pulp plants.
The low rotation speed and low power characteristics of the agitators mean lowered energy requirements and reduced costs. Installation and removal is made from the top of the tank, so that related parts need not be removed, making maintenance easier and cutting operating costs.
Product Highlights
Excellent agitation
The agitator uses two blades each at two positions on the shaft, for a total of four blades. These provide superior circulation of material within the tank, for excellent mixing with no dead zones.Low rotation speed and low power requirements
Low rotational speeds of 12 to 20 revolutions per minute reduce the rotational loads, vibrations, wear and abrasion; this also results in low energy requirements, greatly increasing energy savings.Simple structure for easy maintenance
The use of a structure which allows the agitators to be pulled out through the tank opening without requiring removing any other items mounted within the tank allows for installation and removal to be made simply by raising the agitators by an overhead crane. This simplifies maintenance work and reducing operating costs.Ideal for high-viscosity and explosion-proof requirements
Stamo agitators are designed for industrial use with high-viscosity materials, or where the prevention of explosions is a necessity. Examples include the highly-efficient production of biogas using the decomposition and methane fermentation of organic sludge in sewage treatment plants and other facilities, as well as for the mixing needs of chemical and pulp plants. Can be ordered to fit specific tank designs
Stamo's many years of experience in the agitation field means that it can provide the most suitable agitator for nearly every tank design. The agitators' low weight makes it possible for them to be installed easily as replacement units in tanks that are deteriorating.Superior corrosion-resistant materials
The impellers, shaft and main connecting materials are all made of corrosion-resistant SUS316 stainless steel.
Structure of impeller in tank
Labyrinth water seal
The shaft uses a non-contact type labyrinth water seal. Supply of water to the liquid level meter also prevents methane leaks.Upper stage impeller
The upper impeller has been designed to draw scum forming on the surface back into the liquid, where it is uniformly mixed with the contents. To reduce the risk of entanglement with fibers or textiles, the impeller can be set for automatic reverse rotation several times each day.Lower stage impeller
The design of the lower impeller blades moves the material within the tank in a vertical direction, ensuring optimal circulation throughout the tank, for uniform agitation and no dead zones, even with high-viscosity materials.
Top mounted agitator
Stamo's top mounted agitators are individually designed and manufactured to meet the customer's process requirements. A wide range of configuration alternatives cover all types of agitator needs.
